Have You Ever Seen The Movie Desperado?

  • Relationships: All woman will admit they love the attention especially when it's positive.

I was watching Desperado on cable televsion today and there was a scene in the movie that really made me thing. For those that have never seen the movie, the stars of the movie are Selma Hayek and Antonio Banderas.

It's a bedroom scene where Selma has her eyes closed and is singing a song while playing an acoustic guitar. Antonio notices a shadow of a man with a rifle out on the bacony so he grabs for his gun. Looking in the opposite direction he sees the shadow of another man and decides to grab his other gun. In the meantime Selma is still singing her song with her eyes closed.

The two men move from their positions to a location directly behind where Selma is sitting and singing. Antonio has followed both shadows with his arms starting in a position of being straight out like a scarecrow to a position where he's pointing both guns at Selma's face.

The decision is made to push her in the chest with his boots to knock her to the floor so he can start shooting anything and everything that comes near the windows. Naturally Selma screams because she was unaware of what was going on, but she has scence enough to stay down. Once the shooting slows down, Antonio tells her they have to go. Selma slips her foot into a red high heel shoe and grabs a black one of the same design and they run out the bedroom and halfway down the steps where she needs to stop and put on her other shoe.

Anyone else would have said something like woman we don't have time for that or forget the shoes. In all that confusion, Antonio actually stopped and waited for her to put her black high heel shoe on, so now she's standing on the steps with one black shoe and one red shoe. Antonio tells her she looks gorgeous and kisses her, then they continue running from the bad guys.

How many people do you know that would take the time to stop and allow a woman to put on a high heal shoe, pay her a compliment, give her a kiss and keep on with the action?

Fellows, no matter what's happening around you,  if you can keep your cool and still pay some attention to your femaile companion, that's considered a man that any woman would want to hold on to!

Sometimes the common stress of having to deal with an obnoxious neighbor or a frantic driver on the road is all that's needed for your companion to take a second look and say, "I'm glad you're mine."

It's really the little things that make a great relationship. Desperado is taking it to the extremes but I still think it's a great scene.
